International Missions
Embracing the call to go and preach Christ to all the nations of the world!

Past Initiatives:

Since 2005, Embracing Your Destiny Ministry has not only ministered, but have conducted leadership conferences, and mentoring programs where young women and men have used the skills taught to help them be productive members in society. Laptops and clothing were distributed and books were donated to various schools.

Over the past few years, EYD has made it possible for several school-aged children opportunity to attend school and eat well-nourished meals in the towns of Abidjan
and Duekoue, Ivory Coast."
Money was also contributed to assist one of the small villages ravaged by the war in Ivory Coast in 2011.

Current Planning:

In collaboration with some doctors and nurses from Abidjan, Embracing Your Destiny Ministry staff will bring forth a one -day health fair/clinic in the month of August 2012. The people in that area will have the opportunity to receive free basic health care services such as blood pressure screening, diabetes screening, health and physical exam with referrals, as well as receive medications and various vaccines. Education will also be provided on protecting against HIV and sexual transmitted diseases, birth control options, and healthy nutritional choices. In addition to distributing clothing, items such as sanitation Z(disposable gloves, bio-hazard needle boxes), dressings (gauzes, bandages, ..), diagnostic equipment (stethoscopes, thermometers, glucometer machines (test blood sugar) and etc..), pediatric supplies (diapers, powdered formula, diaper creams, infant droppers), and medications (analgesic, anti-diarrheal, multivitamins), are needed to make the clinic possible and available to the people of Abidjan.

While these efforts have been met with great enthusiasm and anticipation, help is needed to deliver to Africa in a timely manner. If you want to become involved in this ministry to make the plan a reality, you can do so by making a one-time donation, sowing a seed or donating supplies, diapers and other equipment necessary for the health clinic.

Abidjan, Ivory Coast (Côte d'Ivoire)

Abidjan, Ivory Coast (Côte d'Ivoire)
ivory coastHave you ever wondered how life would be if you were unable to eat one well-balanced meal in several days, or have to walk several hours to obtain waters that is disease-plagued so that your family won't die of dehydration? What if you were unable to see a doctor because you have no money to pay or can't afford transportation? Do you choose to stay home with a sick child or risk losing the only income to feed other children in the house? How do you deal with diseases such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, hypertension, and diabetes and still live a productive life? How do you care for babies when you have HIV/AIDS? How do you tell your children that there is a brighter future, when they have no access to education? These issues are common for many people living in Abidjan, in addition to dealing with the devastations of warfare occurring for the last several years.

Fact remains that the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, 2010) reports that Cote d'Ivoire has a generalized HIV epidemic and the highest HIV prevalence in West Africa, with an estimated stable population prevalence of 7% according to the Joint United Nation Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS, 2010). An estimated 54,000 infants are born to HIV-infected women each year and approximately one-third of these infants will be HIV-infected in the absence of prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) interventions. Fact is Abidjan is plagued with numerous health problems ranging from guinea-worm and diarrhea disease (a direct result of poor sewage system), respiratory infections, measles, and malnutrition. According to the director of the National Center for Chronic Disease and Health Promotion, it was noted that in 2009 in Africa, there are more than 90% of patients with hemorrhagic stroke and more than half with ischemic stroke as well as suffering from high blood pressure. The prolonged political-military crisis, in addition to the exacerbating vulnerability of this impoverished country, have contributed to creating a population at high risk from receiving much needed basic health care services.

Guyana, South America

Guyana, South America
Guyana, South AmericaGuyana is a low-income country in South America and in 2006 was ranked 103 (out of 177 countries) on the Human Development Index (HDI). Diseases such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, syphilis, malnutrition, intestinal worms, hypertension, and diabetes continue to impact the people lifestyle and mortality rate. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports Guyana as having one of the highest prevalence rates of HIV infection in Latin America and the Caribbean, second to Haiti (WHO, 2005). The age group mostly affected by HIV/AIDS (15-49) represents 51.3% of the population. Despite these devastating factors, the people of Guyana, desire spiritual enrichment and to become industrious participants in their country.

Paris, France

Paris, France information
Paris ConferenceAlthough Paris, France is known for its impressive technology, trade and tourism, poverty rate has increased since the beginning of 2001 and over 200,000 people are homeless. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention are concerned with the increased rate of measles among health care students in Paris France, and have advised travelers to receive vaccinations prior to visiting this country. Health issues noted to be of concern to Health Department of France include: measles, HIV/AIDS, tobacco control, alcoholism, nutrition, and personal health risk behavior. While Paris, France has played a key role in the shaping of European culture, there exist huge interested in the spiritual meaning. Under the leadership of Pastor Jackie, EYD ministry has been invited to conduct spiritual revivals in several rural areas in Paris, France. The people have been so blessed that they are looking forward to future visits from Pastor Jacquelyn and her ministry.

Japan Information
JapanJapan is considered to play a major role in international economy. This country have survived through several devastations such as World War II and even most recently, the 2011 tsunami and earthquake that left so many dead or without home and food. In spite of it all, this country has welcomed friendship and bonding from ministries, such as Co-Pastor's Powell and Latter Rain Church who reminds them that we are all God's people and there is so much that we can accomplish together. Regardless of the fact that Japan's traditional religions are Shinto and Buddhism, two thirds of the population claims to have no religion. For the past 16 years, Japan has incorporated the fellowship with Latter Rain Ministry which have made a connection with and embraced love and friendship shared between the eastern and western hemisphere.
