"Never Forget"
We" can never join the ranks of those who would like to wipe our history out of every book and out of everyone's minds if they could.
We enjoy so many things everyday and most days we don't think about the journey that brought us here.
A journey that began with a forced departure from the shores of Africa.
Most of us exist today because of a man or a woman "slave" who survived that journey and stepped off of a ship on American soil or on another shore somewhere in this world.
Who we are and where we came from is truly beautiful, but the journey that brought us here is a very hard reality and it will always be difficult to reflect on,
Yet we must "never forget". The continued suffering of our ancestors after reaching these shores can never be denied. But we recognize that they were a people who were "fearfully and wonderfully made". Because of this they survived and persevered and therefore "we" will not be stopped. Don't put your head in the ground and please don't put your nose too far up in the air For to forget would be a terrible mistake. Our young people must know who they are and where they came from because the devil sees the King and the Queen in them.
For it is the same royal nature and swagger he sought to destroy in our ancestors Our youth must prepare to come forward now and they must not labor with false understanding For they will continue to manifest who we are as long as they "never forget' We thank God for those who rose up in an attempt to bring us dignity down through the years. Some sacrificed and gave their lives therefore we must "never forget" After so many have sacrificed to pave the way and bring about change the question remains Have things really changed? Is there equality? Though it is unspoken and some try to be politically correct many still foster the same hatred and the nice-nasty undertone is so thick even today.
We are thankful to serve a God who knows no racial barriers in him and through him We can do "all things" We know who we are in him and we can rejoice because he knows our name and he loves us With this knowledge of our history though difficult it may be We accept God's grace and his mandate to love everyone as he loves us As we go forward in this world, we will not go in bitterness but with understanding whereas the scripture says: You meant evil against me "but God" meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive Gen 50:20. Let us all be motivated by the history of our race and let us celebrate the promises of a great God. "Never forget"

Grace and Peace to all.
It is with great pleasure that i speak of the work of a precious saint of God, Pastor Jacquelyn Powell, known to me nearly ten years now, having come to my country as part of a ministering team at a conference. For all these years I have had the privilege of seeing this woman of God give herself to missionary work, in many nations, Guyana, Japan and Africa among others.
For she has been giving her time, resources , expertise,finances and prayers to people. She has been a main speaker at our conference in Guyana and mulitiple times in our womens'conference in NJ.She is a real warrior in the Kingdom who is working while its day.
One I consider to be a mentor and great team player in the work of the ministry.

I thank God for the opportunity to be a part of embracing your destiny team I've been blessed to go to different parts of Africa I have seen God's people being blessed in material things as well being blessed by Pastor Jackie preaching God's word thank God for letting me see a clinic which he laid upon Pastor Jackie's heart come to pass to one of the poorest place in Ivory Coast God has been faithful and I am glad that he keeps me humble in the journey and serving his people in the mission field

I have known co pst Jacquelyn since year 2005,witch is about 16 years now, and I don’t know number of people like her.just a little story about her, I told her about a town called tengrela and this is a town very far from about 600miles from Abidjan where she use to come, there was very needy people over there, I wasn’t sure she could travel because the means to go there was not realy proper, she said, even though, my gift for them can reach there, and that is how, every year, she put apart something for the people of that far town, she will touch you in a way that will always surprise you, since that time I knew her, she never came with empty hand to us in africa, May the GOD of provision mention her name, we can not stop thanking her here, but her reward is into GOD’s hand.
Co-Pastor Powell has been my spiritual mother for over 30 years. I can truly say she's been there for me through the thick & thin, in & outs of my life. She's not only given me the word through out my time at Latter Rain Ministries, but her personal time as well. I consider myself one of many spiritual sons she has in which we have a special relationship & bond like no other. I'm grateful for who she is not only in the spiritual realm but the natural as well. I've been blessed to travel not only domestically, but internationally with her, and Pastor Hubert Powell as well. I consider them the greatest leaders that I know personally & I'm glad that they are my Pastors & I'm proud to say I'm a member of Latter Rain Ministries.
First and foremost I give honor to God who is the head of my life. I would like to express how blessed I am to have been under the leadership of Co-Pastor which is a total of over 30 years, and throughout this time I’ve seen how God has always been at the head of her life. One thing I can say and that no matter what obstacles have crossed her life, she has always trusted in God and no matter how the situation looks she never has lost her faith.
I remember her going through her episode when she was faced with cancer and God gave her a miracle and it had been nine years that she is cancer free, but through the whole experience she was always serving as a co-pastor, wife, and mother.
I’ve learned from her that no matter what, keep the faith, and God is just one prayer away from all of our circumstances. Co-Pastor is a great prayer warrior, and she has stressed the importance of prayer and this is how I’ve been able to build my faith in this area, I myself with other prayer warriors, pray daily for people all over the world. Co-Pastor has taught me the God is not selfish, so when we pray our forces is to pray for the needs of others. One thing that I learned that quitting is not an option when it comes to serving God, there was time when I was faced with an obstacle and would lean to her for support, she would always give me the spiritual point of view, and would let me see that the glass is half full and not half empty point of view. One thing I do know is that she always lets me know that God has brought me so far, and that he’s not done, so to never let go of his promise. I’ve also see how God is using her to be a vessel to those that seek him in other places that just Connecticut, she has traveled over various places in the world. Ghana, and the Ivory Coast just to name a few, but when she arrives back home she hits the ground running, because she knows her assignment, and that is to spread the word of the gospel.? I know that even in a time like now, we must keep the faith and not let go of the Promises of God, no matter what it looks like look straight to God and don’t waiver, God is faithful!
